Miss Valeri Lopez is an emotionally charged acousti-synthy pop singer-songwriter whose genre-blending sound fuses unexpected styles together, defying tradition. Miss Lopez grew up immersed in diverse musical influences ranging from Rock & Roll to Motown, Hip Hop to Indie Rock, Jazz to Country, Hip Hop to Metal and anything in between. Her music has been described as a mix of Ellie Goulding’s ethereal pop and Kacey Musgraves' soulful storytelling with the savage vocal emotion of Stevie Nicks. It’s heartfelt and raw, blending sass with vulnerability and sadness with hope.
Through her songs, Miss Lopez aims to connect with listeners on a deep level, offering them comfort, understanding, and a reminder that it’s okay to dream, no matter what age you are or where you are in life. Having survived dark times, she carves authenticity into every lyric, making her music a refuge for those who feel unseen.
Her musical journey began with a big break: winning a radio singing contest that led to opening for '90s band Dishwalla. Miss Lopez's single, This Is What Made Me, went viral through Nashville's Songhouse Co., and she has co-written with industry heavyweights like Trannie Andersen (Lainie Wilson), Blessing Offor, Lance Carpenter (Kelsie Bellerini), Gabe Baker and Jodi Goodman. Her artistry is further enriched by her jazz education at the University of Southern California, where she was mentored by luminaries like Patrice Rushen,
Kathleen Grace and Johnaye Kendrick.
Miss Lopez is set to release a double album showcasing two sides of her artistry: a synth-driven “A Side” and a stripped-down “B Side” featuring only vocals and guitar; scheduled for release in Autumn 2025. This project is a testament to her vision and perseverance.
With her independent spirit, fearless creativity and soulful vulnerability, Miss Valeri Lopez is carving a space all her own in the music world.
